headers for 1976 pinto v8 swap
« on: June 03, 2013, 09:24:26 AM »
will the hooker headers part number 6160hkr for a 1973 pinto v8 swap work in place of hooker header part number 6161hkr in a 1976 pinto v8 swap? difference appears to be on the right side header. I have already purchased the 6160hkr not knowing there was a difference in the two v8 swap headers. tried to install last night and they will not work. going to sale for $300.00 plus shipping. 6160hkr are for pinto v8 swap 1971-1973 pinto

Good question, I am currently trying to find a set of headers that would work without purchasing the expensive headers in your post. But let us know what fits I might end up purchasing them too.

Before you plan on which to use, contact Hooker (etc) to find out if they are still being made.
I've seen the Headman ones still advertised & they have not been available for 20+ years.
