Title: Door chrome swap
Post by: Blue79Pinto on May 17, 2013, 12:49:33 PM
Can door chrome be swapped from a door with it to one that came without?  If so how does the chrome come off?  I have a door that isn't rusted and is in better shape than the one on the car but it doesn't have the chrome.

yes it can! just sand a little paint off first to make the fit go easy. if not they will be a bear to put on!. i did this with my car as well. to get them off, you have to pry (you can use a wide edge flat screw driver or a wide putty knife) from the bottom outward. you have to do a little at a time in different areas as to go evenly and not to damage the lower lip. and to put on start at the top and snap on at bottom (again different areas and evenly).
