disc brake conversion
« on: October 17, 2011, 05:53:35 PM »
Hi Everyone;  I am going to upgrade the front brakes on my '72. can anyone steer me in the right direction. Ford must have an interchange that would work without a whole lot of machining.   thanks, Jim.

Your best bet while remaining sane is to find a 71-73 with disc brakes (parts car preferably) and swap the spindles and everything over, since that's what you will be needing.

Talk to fast64ranchero, he just did this conversion on his 72/73 that originally had drum brakes on it.

Jim.
I might have a set of original rotors, calipers, and brake lines off my 71 real soon. I just picked up a set of Strange Engineering brakes and will be changing them before it gets to much colder out.
