Custom build with Pinto Upper Control Arms question
« on: December 18, 2012, 10:21:49 AM »
What year Pinto used a 4-1/2" bolt spread (center to center) on the crossbar for the upper control arms?
Thanks in advance for ANY help on this one!

The 71-72 measures 4.5" between the bolt center lines (I believe the 73 is the same).  The 79 has 5" for the same measurement (same for 74-80 I believe).  The early bolt holes and bolts have a round cross section while the 74-80 have a foot ball shaped cross section (so the bolt does not rotate).  Have fun with the custom build.

Most of the kits use the early 4.5 set up and they of course use the early rack and springs as well....
