Cruising wagon Rear Hatch
« on: April 12, 2017, 01:06:04 PM »
How can I get my Rear Wagon Hatch open ?? The key lock just spins with the key inserted. Evidently the link is broken/disconnected from the lock mechanism..... ..Any ideas, or is there a "latch" I don't know about ??                   Thanks

I do not remember now much room there is in the bottom but you might try and unbolt the striker with a thin wrench.

I have searched the member list and not located anyone with those names. Do you have contact info on them? Emails that they sent to you?

None of the names you have listed are usernames for members of this site.  Unfortunately, because the forums are available to view for guests, and most people post their email addresses when they list parts they need, scammers can and do approach.  This is not a new problem and I'm very sorry that you were scammed out of money but anytime you're dealing with this sort of thing it is "buyer beware".  There has been much posted about this and I'm sorry that you did not read that information before responding to an offer from an unknown person.  Because they are not members, and are likely to all be the same party, the PCCA has no way of tracking them.  It is a sad reality in today's world that things are not always as they seem and that all people are not honest.

Sadly Dwayne is correct. Did you use PayPal for this? Paypal has buyer protection if you do not use friends and family. Since you have emails and an address, you should contact Paypal or your credit card company to cancel the transaction and report it to the authorities.

I went to GoogleMaps and input the address he gave you, and, this is what was returned:  "We could not find 1745 Old New York Hwy E Ridge Rd Dunlap, TN 37327
Make sure your search is spelled correctly. Try adding a city, state, or zip code."

Looks like a scammer.

Eddie Fonner contacted me last night about kick panels. I asked for his member name and he was gone.
