I have advertised for front bucket seats in the Classifieds through this Club. A person called me that he had a pair of seats for sale. I have been SCAMMED out of an amount of money by trusting him. Three other people have sent me an e-mail with the seats for sale I need. Matt Baldwin, Trevor Fonner and Eddie Fonner........ Do you know any of these people ?? I did not find them in the member listing......P lease reply through the Club and not to my e-mail address....... .............. ........Thanks
None of the names you have listed are usernames for members of this site. Unfortunately, because the forums are available to view for guests, and most people post their email addresses when they list parts they need, scammers can and do approach. This is not a new problem and I'm very sorry that you were scammed out of money but anytime you're dealing with this sort of thing it is "buyer beware". There has been much posted about this and I'm sorry that you did not read that information before responding to an offer from an unknown person. Because they are not members, and are likely to all be the same party, the PCCA has no way of tracking them. It is a sad reality in today's world that things are not always as they seem and that all people are not honest.Dwayne
Sadly Dwayne is correct. Did you use PayPal for this? Paypal has buyer protection if you do not use friends and family. Since you have emails and an address, you should contact Paypal or your credit card company to cancel the transaction and report it to the authorities.
I went to GoogleMaps and input the address he gave you, and, this is what was returned: "We could not find 1745 Old New York Hwy E Ridge Rd Dunlap, TN 37327Make sure your search is spelled correctly. Try adding a city, state, or zip code."Looks like a scammer.enzo
