converting from power brakes to manual on a 79, what is needed?

Specifically do I have to swap pedals or anything in that area?
I don't know if I want to keep the power, and I imagine the booster is bad after all these years.
I will be changing master cylinders either way since I am going with 4 wheel disk brakes.

To change over to non power brakes you have to have a donor car , there is a plate on the firewall that has to be added , and the brake peddle is different , but keep the power brakes , all mine have them , the booster can be over hauled cheep , plus side it you can take it to the parts store and see if a all wheel disk brake master cylinder will fit it of a newer ford , with the stock power brakes on mine they will lock up the tires if hit them to hard , I let a friend of mine drive my pinto , his pinto did not have power brakes or power steering, everything was fine untel the first stop sign 😳

Any recommendation s for getting the booster redone? One place I saw through one of the online stores was about the same price as a rebuilt one plus shipping.

And would a 74 manual setup work for the 79? I do have the 74, and both cars are manual trans.

The 74 manual setup will not work , you will see the clutch cables come out in a different spot , and the brackets are from the early 71 up to early 75 , then they changed , the booster overhaul if they have a shop nearby runs 75 to a tad over 100, last one I had done was $60 , that was ten years ago , still works like new , if you can find someone near you that has one with power brakes and drive it , then make your choice, it’s a must have if your going to stuff a larger engine in it and need help to stop the beast ,
