Converting Bobcat to Pinto front end - easy/hard?
« on: March 12, 2012, 09:59:03 PM »
How difficult is it to convert a Bobcat to a Pinto? Is it as simple as changing the hood and grill? Would love to do it if you don't have to mod anything, just unbolt and bolt... anyone tried this?

Pretty easy change, especially '79 & '80, just a grille change and substituting "ford" for "mercury" on the hood. But why would you want to change to a Pinto. The Bobcats are actually Rare, Pintos not so much.  :) :) ???

Thanks Jon - I had considered that, but I'm toying with how much I want to replicate my first car. However, I am looking at pix of the bobcat to see if I will fall in love all over again... it's a 78, so I guess you'd add a hood change, and I forgot the tail lights as well.
