Does anyone know where I can get a fuel filler pipe and matching gasket for my 1979 pinto sedan? My mechanic is saying he can't find any and both are leaking.

The fuel filler pipe is 2-1/4" od, a perfect fit for 2-1/4" exhaust pipe. I had to cut my fuel filler off and replace a section when I replaced the tank.

I bought this gasket: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000O0SGWU?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00. Unfortunately, this one is no longer available from this seller. It does, however, show that they are out there.

Wish I could be more help.

Dennis Carpenter has the seal: http://dennis-carpenter.com/fuel-tank-filler-pipe-seal/p/E1AZ-9072-B/.

It doesn't list the Pinto, but part number E1AZ-9072-B is what I used on mine.

Tasca has it too: http://www.tascaparts.com/oe-ford/e1az9072b

Couldn't find a replacement filler neck. That's why I patched mine with exhaust pipe from Advance Auto.
