Title: Coil Springs
Post by: wbacon8780 on May 07, 2013, 02:16:18 PM
I have a 1979 Pinto ESS, It has the 302 in it, with manual brakes and steering. Both front coil springs were broke when I bought it so I put in mustang II V8 coil springs with 2 coils cut off. I don't like the ride, I was gonna go back to V6 coil springs. Do you think I will have any problems with them breaking or will my ride be screwed up. I would Appreciate any comments.

The stock Pinto V-6 springs should be fine. If you want to drop the front, change the front spindles and not just cutting the springs by themselves. Hope this helps. Speedway has most of the parts. Do not order the 2300 I-4 springs order the V-6's.
