Carb. part
« on: May 02, 2017, 03:45:20 PM »
I have a 2300 cc engine from 79 pinto 2 barrel carb. The little thing that electric choke spring hooks to to close the choke is broke off. PO had converted to manual choke which I guess is what broke it. I can't find one where I've looked. Where might I find one?

No answers yet. Maybe I haven't made myself clear. I am attaching photo of what I think is broke and I need one. Where can I get one without buying a whole carburetor? Maybe someone might have one you would sell the top of carb. with heating element or just that part and the part that holds the heating element.

I need at least the broke piece, the rest I can buy. If you have it all that would be great. That would be the broke piece, the electric heating element, the piece that holds the heating element in, ie everything it takes to make auto choke work again.. Tell me what you are sending and how much to pay including shipping and how you want payment. I'll send you my mailing address. I'm in TX.

What arms. I don't know what you are speaking of. Is the silver thing sticking out of the bakelite heater housing the electrical connection?

How do you want payment? If you have PayPal that is easy and fast.

BTW My car is a MGTD replica that has Pinto engine, trannie and rear end. If you don't mind I may bother you with some questions about my drive train should I come up with question.

In my photo what you see is on the car so I need everything to make it work. I've never had one of these apart so don't know how it all connects to the choke butterfly.
