Carb issue
« on: October 17, 2015, 01:25:29 PM »
Hello I have a 2.8 6cyl and the stock shitty motorcraft carb went out. So t want to deal with it anymore. What are some easy options to convert to and what do I need exactly for the conversion.

Yes I got tired of the carbs long ago , I even tried the a new 2700 vv carb , yet it worked but will later be a pita later because parts are getting scarce, next I went to CFI ,  off a 1984 LTD 5.0 with a 2.9 computer , for more info got to ranger station on efi for the 2.8,  done it and very happy, great gas mileage and power to boot , look on my gallery photos for the set up ,

Weber Carbs used to make an awesome after market replacement carb for these.. whether they still do or not, I don't know.. (The Weber Redline Series carbs can be a caution if you live in a state that requires smog certs regularly)

You see them "new" on e bay under ford bronco II and ford 2.8 . But the last one I seen was almost 500 buck, good carb though,
