Transmission shifting
« on: August 08, 2015, 07:31:07 PM »
I have my Sedandelivery back and was driving it all over the place today. It runs soo nicely. Why does the transmission on this car wind out nicely, but on the Bobcat it upshifts quickly and impedes acceleration. Any ideas? The SD doesn't have a cat, the Bobcat does, do they impede acceleration a lot?

you should have an adjustable shift modulator on the bobcat .. if so you can adjust it so it will shift later .. if not you can get one .. that is if you have the C4 trans .. i dont know about other type trans ... pull the short rubber hose off the shift  modulator    and see if it has a flat head adjusting screw inside the vacuum hole .. if so take a very small flat  head screw driver and screw the adjusting screw in one turn and try it .. the more you screw it in the longer it will take to shift  ..

If it's a c-3 you have to get different lengths of modulator rods to adjust the shift points , they usely come with a shift kit for that trans , made by transgo ,
