Body badge fasteners
« on: February 22, 2016, 08:12:45 PM »
Anyone got a picture, or a part #, for the fasteners to mount the Pinto badge on the trunk lid? No access from the back side, so it's not sheet metal nuts. Thanks

Px&vxp=mtr" class="bbc_link" target="_blank">http://www.ebay.com/itm/NOS-Ford-1975-PINTO-script-emblem-ornament-D5FZ-16098-A-6-1-2-X-2-/262262526264?hash=item3d10109138:g:0HoAAOSwpzdWqR Px&vxp=mtr

If I remember right there are little plastic inserts that push into the trunk lid holes, and the badge pins press fit into them. Check the eBay add above. I'm not sure if that is your exact trunk emblem or not. On mine, the area inside the loop of the "P" is flat pot metal, (without the red, white and blue stripes), not open like the one in the add.

Those are called barrel nuts. Some auto stores might carry them. There are various sizes of them so you will want to size  the hole and buy the correct ones to fit.
