PLS HELP  A  NEWBIE

how do battery hold-downs D1FZ-10718-A and D1FZ-10718-B  differ? pics pls!

How does either one attach to the fender.... use the square hole with a captive nut? Anyone used  a weld-in cage nut 5/16 x 18?

Thx,  LEL

I don't have pics but one is offset compared to the other. Depends on what year your car is as to which one will be correct. As for attaching to the fender do it whatever way you like. On my 77 the threaded part was long gone so I just put a bolt in back but on my 80 the actual threaded hole is there so I will be using it when I put the battery back in.

It also can vary due to what engine is installed. I-4  1600  and 2000 (2300 was later) and/or V-6 for example .So what is needed is what year, what engine and if it had other things like A/C even if it was dealer installed "could" make a difference. I hope this helps.
