How wide are the u joints on our Pintos?.. Are 4 inch wide, too big?

Don't know exact dims. 4 inches sounds big. Do know the rear joint on a 72 is split--the rear end side is bigger than the driveshaft side. My 8 inch yoke was same size as the original 6.75 yoke also.

they are spicer 1310 style.   all 3.218 inches across but some have offset bearing cap sizes depending on your model
