Autolite 4100 on a 2.3 Pinto, Need advice
« on: March 13, 2013, 10:03:38 AM »
Hello,

I own a 2.3 Pinto 1978 with headers, hot cam and a 390 cfm Holley. Each year I have to fiddle on that carb. as it is not a trouble free set-up. I decided to improve things with an Autolite 4100 1.08 carburetor, which is rated as the best carb., and a dual plane Edelbrock intake. My basic question is for jetting that carb. Have someone ever tried that and could help me?

Thanks,

Jean G.

I'm running a 4100, for jets, look on eBay, get a few different sizes, the factory ones will get you close with that cam, the power valve will need to be changed also, makes it kinda flood at low rpms , huge improvement thoe, I don't know how the intake sits but I know stock intake puts the fuel screws in a horrible spot, and you wont really need a choke, hope this helps, by the way I think I'm running 51 size jets
