Any advice on adding after market air conditioning?
« on: June 20, 2013, 07:49:32 PM »
Anyone have any advice on adding new air conditioning to a 1973 Runabout? It had air at one time but was gone when I bought it. Best advice?

Are you saying the just compressor is gone or everything from under the hood and dash?

I would look into a Hot Rod Air, Vintage Air, or Southern Rods under the dash unit. If your heater is also gone you can got with a unit with both heat, a/c, and defrost. There are bracket mfg like Allan Grove that may help if the kits do not fit your application completely. The all have a slim line under dash unit. I used one in a 1949 Ford F-1. Good Luck
