74, going from a 2.0 to a 2.3?
« on: July 02, 2014, 02:11:51 PM »
This is for future reference, can't afford anything right now.  :-[

I did try to search, couldn't find anything about this.

Are the frame and motor mounts the same? Do they use the same frame location? Exhaust?
Anything else that would need to be changed?

Thanks,
Russ

You'll need the frame mounts for a 2300 only. Easy job.
Its better to be a has-been, than a never was.

2.0 engine mounts are completely different from 2.3's so just get everything from a 2.3 powered Pinto & it's a simple bolt in deal'
'73 Sedan (I'll get to it)
'76 Wagon driver
'80 hatch(Restoring to be my son's 1st car)~Callisto
