With some trimming it should. Just don't get caught in the rain with it.

thanks for the heads up on the rain issue. That one totally slipped by me.
Are the open element paper filters ok in the rain? or is ANY open element going to be a problem?

I'm planning to run an open one on my wagon & I think it should be fine in anything but a torrential downpour but it remains to be seen. I bought a $23 one in case it's not gonna work I wont be out a fortune.

I may just have to get one of those.  I'd rather have an oval one, but when I find oval ones, they either have the wrong base or they are super expensive.

I like that one because it's 2 1/2" tall rather than 1 7/8" & it's cheap. I've run them on my buggies for years.

That's a really small hose (2 1/2") for a carb. The one Red Line sells has a bigger hose but it also cost more too. Spectre sells one with a single inlet and one with a duel inlet. Both about $100.

It is kinda small, probably be ok for just a driver though, definitely not performance orientated..

I've only run open elements for 2 years and have had no water issues. It stays surprisingly dry under the hood, in my experience.

Currently running a K&N, cause the cheap ebay one I started with sucked a hole through the element, and it was the clip style and twisted and just looked funny. It also hit the hood (barely).

I have one of these to run on my 80 until I put the turbo in it. It's sized for the 350 Holley I was gonna run but I'll make an adapter to fit the Weber instead.

That triangle one will work BUT ONLY on the two barrel (2CG) model which I had to get straight from Edelbrock. Then you have to change it from a round hole to the shape of the Pinto carb. Was rather easy to do.

I may wind up chopping up the base of my stocker and doing something with it.
maybe a complete open round filter, maybe dual snorkel on the stock one, but I doubt I'll find another snorkel to match the original one
