Dunno about fuel but a/c almost any of the same time period providing you swap to the proper clutch. The compressors commonly interchange a LOT.

Fuel sending units are often common to that tank only since every tank has to fit a different body. Making sending unit location commonly different. Maybe not though. Again, thinking common units of the time use the same resistance for the fuel gauge themselves. The unit mounting would be what's most likely different.

I bookmarked this from the site because I was figuring I'd end up getting a new fuel sending unit as I had a leak in my gas tank.  The information was invaluable and I bought the spectra one for my 76 and it is exactly the same.  There is a link at the bottom to the Spectra ones and their applications.  Luckily they make these for the 76.  I found the best price for mine at amazon.com, but you can get them from lots of places.  If you get it from autozone or pepboys, many times they have specials going online.
