8" rearend swap axle question?
« on: September 24, 2005, 06:08:53 PM »
Right now I aquiring parts for my turbo coupe motor swap into my Pinto.
Just got a 8" rearend out of a 77 Mustang II.  My quetion is;  This rearend has 4 lug axles.  What is the best way to convert this over to 5 lug.  My stock pinto rear was converted to 5 lug by the previous owner. I am sure these will not fit into the 8" but?  Any help will be appreciated.  Thanks ahead of time you guys have really come through with the answers before on other questions. :-\

Just thought I would passs along some info I found out.  Currie sells 5 lug axles that will fit into the Mustang II 8".  Price isn't to bad about 170 each.

will granada axles fit the mII housing?  I just got donr putting the complete rearend from a granda under my new pinto.  Also i use granada rotors to upgrade the front to 5 lug and to hel stop better.  major improvement all around.
