Speedometer Cable
« on: March 19, 2012, 10:33:16 PM »
Need some advice... Which speedo cable do I need for my 72 when I install a Type 9 five speed? I do understand that it needs to be an Auto speedo cable.

Uh yeah that is something I was wondering about my self.  In my 79 turbo T 5 swap will the factory 4 speed cable from my Pinto work ?  If not, what do I need to get and make a close if not correct speed reading on the factory speedo,  What gear does it need for a 3.40     8 "   rearend swap? Thanks

i just made mine, or you can buy one for a certain year ford sierra on ebay.co.uk, and its for the manual sierra 1.8l car, and remember it needs to be long if you make it yourself and do not get that speedo cable you listed, waste of time dosnt fit, i know i tried, oh and the gearings guna be a little weird but worth the 5th if you drive on the highway alot, quaife makes alot of nifty things for the t9 to make it better,  ruger i dont know, i bet sombody will be able to tell you
