74 Runabout 2.3 rear main...
« on: December 28, 2003, 04:53:51 AM »
I'm new to the forum, as you all can tell, but I need help with installing the rear main seal in my 74 2.3.  I've got an automatic tranny, and was wondering if there's a way to install the seal without either pulling the engine or tranny.  I understand I have to split the two, I was just really hoping to be able to split them a small amount and put the new seal in.  Is this possible, or should I just pull the transmission?  Also, does anyone have a source for rear brake shoes for 9x1.75" brakes?  I work for Autozone, and we can't even special order them...  Thanks in advance for all of your help!!
