1975 Tune Up parts?
« on: July 20, 2014, 02:52:23 PM »
I am wanting to do a tune up. Don't have a manual. Does anyone know what OEM parts I need? IE, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, etc??? Thanks, Eugene

Just got the car a few months ago. Checked fuel MPG, and it is down to 17MPG's in the city… Ugh, I know it should be better than that. It also has a vibration.

You can go to RockAuto.com, and look up everything you might need ie: plugs, distributor cap and rotor, plug wires and air filter for starters.

These cars, in their stock configurations, were not known for great gas mileage.  My 1974 Runabout, purchased new, with a 2.3/4spd., never broke 19 mpg even on a trip!  Of course, gasoline was about 39 cents per gallon, so it wasn't a big deal at the time!
