1600 CLUTCH DISC QUESTIONS
« on: October 23, 2011, 09:36:26 AM »
Is the 1600 clutch disc smaller than 2000 ?

Is the throw out bearing the same?

How about the output shaft for the driveshaft yoke.

I may have answered some of my own questions on the transmission, yoke, and clutch.

I pulled the tag off the transmission and cleaned it off.

The numbers are :  FOB 3 E 10,   72 WG BB
That tells me it is the "Ford of Britain" English tranmission.
So different number of clutch disc splines and different output shaft.
I would guess it will be the 20 spline disc.

If the numbers were FOG it would be "Ford of Germany".
Then it would be more interchangable .
It would have the 23 spline disc.

So my new question... Would a FOG German transmission bolt onto the same bell housing as the FOB English transmission?
