71 sedan leaf springs
« on: January 11, 2019, 04:05:16 PM »
I have a 71 sedan that is in dire need of rear springs. Has anyone ever tried the leads from Landrum? I know early and late pintos have different spring lengths and was hoping someone might have some insite. Are there any other companies that anyone knows of that manufactures leafs for these? I talked to a spring shop near me and he sound real skeptical about working on them so I thought id check around. Does anyone know the correct distance (eye to eye) for 71 pinto? Any feedback is appreciated!

Had my 77 done 6 months ago. Don't know if they are the same but can find out what was installed, if you want.

https://bettsspring.com/ they make springs to our specs. They have specs for just about every car made. I set up my autocrosser and they made some 30% stiffer than stock and 2" dearced

Thanks Allen. What year is your car? Did you specifically ask for 2 inches de-arched and 30% stiffer? I have to wait till tomorrow to give them a call but I wonder if they do custom rates or heights..
