Title: 302 engine swap in 74 pinto wagon
Post by: Perryspinto on July 06, 2018, 04:43:19 PM
Looking for advice on headers... oil pan... & short shaft water pump while swapping 302 into my 74 pinto wagon. Are there headers that will work without too much trouble? Also noticed standard water pump shft would not leave enough room so we are planning on a short shaft pump and new pulleys... We have an oil pan coming that looks like it will give clearance for sway bar as well as front end.

Any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

the shortest Water pump you can find is of the last years of the 5.0 powered Ford Explorer , only it does not have the provision for a mech fuel pump , also someone did make a kit that had the whole set up ,  snow white industries , do not know if they are still in busness not , also do not cut the radiator support , you do not have to , people make the mistake and do ,
