Carburetor Issue
« on: February 03, 2013, 10:46:31 PM »
Today I had my air cleaner off to adjust the distributor timing hoping to fix my problem with a lack of power and I noticed this. Should there not be some kind of cover or something here?

My carb is nasty as can be.

Need more info, what year engine etc. Also what carb. Some carbs had that flange with nothing in it ,others had a valve etc.

"signs" are starting to point that your car has a good chance of being for California!  I remember your "what is this?" post about your smog pump before it got embarrassingly political!!

California Pintos have a bunch of weird smog stuff and special carburetors on them!

This is on the way out to Palm Springs.........this is twenty miles away from me
Anything to keep her runnin'!

Unfortunately I can't run the vin cause it's too old so idk who all else has owned it but it'd be cool to know! And that's awesome! I'll hopefully be travelling in the Pinto a little later this year and my first route will probably be west to Cali and up Hwy 1!
