2.3L exhaust gaskets
« on: May 09, 2014, 07:59:15 AM »
There is a flat two-holed gasket that goes at the front of the catalytic converter, is there a donut shaped gasket at the rear of the converter and at the exhaust manifold?

There is no donut or gasket at the manifold or the outlet of the catalytic converter. They are a direct bolt up. You will want to make sure both surfaces are clean and smooth, and the studs tightened equally.

I should have prefaced that response with; If you have the stock connections.

You're welcome.
My 74 exhaust has long studs at the manifold connection with springs on each stud. I imagine to help with vibration and torque loads.
