2.3 Pulley on a 2.0
« on: November 04, 2013, 08:19:11 PM »
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Ford-Mustang-Pinto-2-3-Liter-Aluminum-Race-Crank-Pulley-/281003778766?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item416d2162ce&vxp=mtr

Those are on ebay and for the life of me I can't find one for a 2.0. Would that fit, maybe with some machining or something even?

Hi Dianne,

Esslinger engineeering has them.  They have a lot of 2.0/2.3 performance parts.

Careful those are for racing they're made for slowing down the alternator and water pump at high R's, I'd find out how much it slows them down might be to slow for the street??..

They're only 4" diameter what size is the factory one?, haven't messed with too many small blocks so I don't remember. BTW, why would you want one of those to begin with??..

I have a 2.0 in my Pinto. Remember, it's my daily driver so no big block in it LOL The one on the car is bent some, so vibrating and everything. I have to replace it. Finding the part is like looking for a needle in a haystack!

Not with the dual. This car had air conditioning and need to get it back in. But I need the pulley with 2 grooves.

Oh ok, I'm sure there's some around, I'd stay away from the race stuff though you don't need it.

I'm trying to look this up in the Ford parts book for you. Need to know if it's 'factory' a/c -- 'Dealer' built-in -- or 'hang' on style.

I looks like it was factory inside. I'll ask Dave, he's stopping by today!

I do know they don't swap...and there are many 2.0 variants. It can get confusing, especially if you run across something on Ebay that is listed only as 2.0. Always send messages and ask questions. lol

Yeah, one was there and it was the wrong one. I do that with all parts and thanks for the help! One someone here sent me a picture of looked cast iron and something like a clothes line pulley.

If anyone knows of a crank pulley for a 2.0 around or have one, please let me know as I need one desperately!

You can take a single groove and weld another on for A/C, I have done that before.  Fred   :)
