2.3 motor
« on: November 16, 2019, 06:40:34 AM »
I have a 77 CS with a 2.3 that needs to be replaced.  What years work? I can get 1 out of a 91 ranger. Can I just switch out the intake and exhaust?

l can't remember the years but does the Ranger have a distributor? lf so then Yes. l would strip the Ranger engine and just use the block and head and use the bolt-ons from the original engine. This would also be a good time to replace the timing belt.
If you don't have time to do it right, when will you have time to do it over?
