Ford Ranger drive train swap...anyone ever done it?
« on: March 17, 2015, 09:01:00 PM »
Last time you guys saw me was about 4 years ago...and I was badly obsessed with supercharging my carb 2.3. Thank God times have changed..  ;D

Since then I've had my car on the road around a year ago, but it was far from legally. I finally have all the interior parts I want (or would ever use)

Around 2 months ago I got a call from the previous owner of my Pinto, Jason "Hey, I have a '94 Ranger I want the engine out of. Come pull it and it'll be free." He'd been driving it around November before 4X4-ing it, and the oil drained tells the same story.

I have every part needed....I think....
-Radiator/hoses
-Fully dressed engine/computer/wires
-5 Speed/clutch/driveshaft ('shaft will have to be custom, I know)

But What am I missing to do this swap?
-45PSI pump?
-tranny mount adapter?
-'S' Shape shifter? (it'll come out under the 8-track I think)
-Clutch peddle/fluid bowl/hose?

Anyone whose done this...call me sometime?

Bought my Pinto in '12, last tagged in '97. Had it on the road (thanks to a $20) spring '14. Tima to tear it apart, fix it correctly this time....and play with the drive train. Got a totally free & complete drive train-engine, 5 speed, drive shaft, and computer!
