Ok guys, im a newb to pintos, well honestly to fords in general. I have learned a ton so far from you guys already.
So I bought a sand rail with a 2.0 in it. I then swapped it for a "stroker motor" so i was told. Apparently a 2.3 crank was stuffed into a 2.0, any one ever hear of this? Any ways i have a complete mustang with a fuel injected 2.3. What is required for the swap, do i need a custom computer? would it be easier to put the offenhauser and holley from the 2.0 on it? would it even fit? I also have a quad mukini set up. What parts would swap? header, oil pan, intake, valve cover? Is the bellhousing pattern the same?

The Ranger 2.0 is basically a 2.3 so my guess is that's the swap. The German 2.0 is a whole different animal.

Yep sorry to say that nothing will interchange for those 2 engines. The 2.0 was a 71-74 German engine and the 2.3 design that went till '98, was a Brazilian engine. They only look similar.
The 2.3 is a great engine with a lot of potential and parts backing from esslinger engineering . Hi po parts are not cheap however, basic matinence parts are.
If you swap the 2.3 it will fit however its not a total bolt in. The 2.3 is great for a rail. Good luck!

If it has a crank swap from a 2.3 then it is a Ranger 2.0 not a EAO (early 3 cam bearing German 2.0L) a 2.3 crank will not go into a early 1970-1974 2.0L
