2.0 header
« on: June 20, 2012, 05:53:03 PM »
:-\ I'm having a hell of a time finding a header for my 72 2.0. Anybody have one for sale or know where to find one semi affordable that doesn't require changing up the motor mount?

Check UK eBay or Burton Power..

Not cheap but you can still get them.

i don't know to much about the pinto. not yet... have you tryed pacesetter. i know they got one for a pinto. b/c i'm using that one for my ranger.  had it on the truck for 10 years. and just this past year it went bad. but yes it was listed for a pinto. i was just lucky it also fit the rangers.
Cars I own:
*87 Ford Ranger. 2.3 was EFI now carb and loving it. <-- my baby
*75 Chevy Nova 250 I6. nice cruiser.

Past cars i've owned:
*65 Ford mustang 200 I6.
*68 Ford Ranchero 302.
*78 Ford F350 Camper Special Ranger XLT with a 460.
*74 Dodge Charger HT with a 318.
and that's all of them.

I'm still fortunate, My 72 2.0  has a Hooker Super comp header, It's the only straight bolt on I ever saw . But No longer in production, and has a tendency to crack the weld at flange on # 4 Cylinder. Had to replace the first 3 inches of that primary tube, and reinforce.

This is as close as you will get now, you'll need to mod the motor mount, most peeps use poly and cut it down,

Try Heddman Hedders, two piece header no mods needed. I have one but it's not for sale, sorry!
If you don't have time to do it right, when will you have time to do it over?
