2.3's will eat most V-8's for a lot less time effort and money....If you want a V-8 buy a Mustang....Jus t how much did you spend on a 408 and 351 ? Way more than my junk yard 2.3 Turbo...All of my parts etc except for service items, gaskets, new fuel pump etc are either used or junk yard parts.....Hell just how much did your headers , engine mounts etc cost....You have 16 rods, pistons, bearings etc between your motors and just how much money per horse power have you spent ? Let alone everything else to support the engine, rear end, springs, brakes etc.......It takes allot of cash to convert a 2.3 to V-8 and have it work and be safe.....Other wise your in a flexy flier that can not stop.....Might go straight but you might not want to drive it to work every day....
