Hello everyone! This is my first time posting to this site. I've been looking for a place that I can buy speedometers for my car. I've had no luck so far and I've got no clue where to look. I pulled the speedometers out so that I could paint the dash because I am rebuilding it after an accident a few years ago. But when I pulled it out the frame I guess you could call it broke. Does anyone know where to get these? If I even can that is.

Also my car is a 1974 ford pinto. I know its probably obvious due to the site we are on and the topic title but I figured it couldn't hurt to say.

Unfortunately no one makes replacements. The later ones are known to crumble.i am fairly sure the white part will interchange from 71-78 but the circuit is different .

you should check out my (77 resto mod page ) just go to my profile & then my resent posts & you will c a cup ill of ways to have a dash agen without factory parts such as the decota digital dash witch is cool but I like the mechanical gages. I was going to put the 110mph spedo in place of the 85mph then that plastic craped out! I think we found the pintos weakest link lol!!!!

Thank you for the suggestions everyone. I've got the 110 gauge and fuel gauge I just need to find that darn plastic frame mount thing. Or something I can use in place of that.

Happened to me too on my '76. I stripped out all the old stuff, made a plexi panel to screw in behind the decorative front bezel, and cut it out to hold new Autometer speedo and tach. Also put in little lamps for hi-beams, parking brake, and back hatch. I included an electrical connector block - I think 11 positions - so I could unplug the whole thing from the wiring harness. Its way better than the old one because the electric speedo can be easily calibrated for different tire sizes and rear end ratios - some are even GPS. So don't panic trying to find a replacement. You can build a better one yourself.
