74 pinto crossmember question

Great site, I hope that it's ok to post my question here. Although my car isn't a pinto, the front suspension is. I narrowed a 74 pinto crossmember 7 1/2" and the 3 hole rack the same amount. I am also using 1" narrowed a arms to get the wheels inside the fender. The question I have, the frame diagrams on here says that the measurement is 33" from a point on the spring hat and I'm not sure which holes to measure from. Also when I  bolt the rack up and ck the top hats, the slotted part is angled in 5 degrees and shock towers are angled in 15 degrees. Does this sound right? Sorry to be so long winded,  but I can't find any info anywhere, and I thought someone on here might know. Thanks.
