BACK HALF UPPER SUPPORT
Previous Image | Next Image
Description: This is a very unique photo of a PRO MOD BACK HALF UPPER SUPPORT. During construction the body is taken off and put back on many times. This is because the fit between the roll cage and the body panels has to be as perfect as possible so as to limit any flex in the body to assure complete aerodynamic stability. Also note the amount of triangulation of the suport structure that composes the upper back half that is behind the drivers cage. All those bars will distribute the down force to the body and will also distribute any forces during an accident to the outside loops of the drivers cage to protect the driver. Also in this picture, toward the bottom right are the frame mounts for the 4 bar linkage for the rear end. Not many have gotten to see this kind of construction in the past.
