looking for a new tranny setup.
« on: October 27, 2006, 02:12:49 PM »
I need to find a new tranny setup. Ive tried the manual trannys out of pintos and mustang II's in my derby cars and reverse is always lost after 1 or 2 derbies. The teeth on the clutch packs break off of them.
Anyone got any ideas?

Look for trannies from the older pinto's. 71-73 b4 they changed them. I like the gearing in them alot better, and i think they take more abuse.

I'll have to take the cover off of one and check it out. It might work better.
