I was wondering what drivetrain everyone uses in their cars? I use C4 automatics and an 8 inch rearend with 4.62 gears and a mini spool.

Stock rears aren't as much fun though. You can usually get the gears on ebay for $60-75 bucks and mini spool for an 8 inch for $23 w/ shipping.

If I run an auto it is a C4 with 8" and 4:62 gears.  Most of the time it is a manual with 8" and 3:40 or 3:55 gears.

I always run a manual tranny.Automat ics take to much power away.I have a lightened flywheel.I run either 4.11 or 3.55 gears in an eight inch rear-end with a spool.Motor is a stock 2.3,with my magical touch applied to it.My motor is usually heard above the other ones.I turn it at 6,000 RPM when demoing. My race car I turn at 7,400 RPM.
