He you go boys! Now please stop cluttering up the rest of the board with posts. ;) To our Pinto loving (preserving) crowd....if you have nothing good to say or add to this area, please don't post here....its that simple. This section will be here for a month on a TRIAL basis, then we'll re-evaluate it, if there is no trouble, and everyone gets along, than as long as the other Moderators and Adminastrators agree, it will stay. Be on your best behaviour....y our little section of Fordpinto.com rides on it. Jeff

Thank you so much even though this is a form of racing to us. and i will say yall should be very proud these cars may be looked at by most people as dork cars so to speak but they are some of the best for the demoing, im saying it in a good way, they are very tough.

Good idea 78. I hope all goes well with this, I think it will.  I also hope nobody will hold ill feelings from the previous posts.  I just hope that the Pintos kick everyone elses butt in the derbys.  Good Luck Derbyers!!!

we are considering allowing the banned bunch back in, but they won't last long if things go bad again. If they can come back and make positive contributions on this site without bringing attitude, it is a possibility.

I too agree with the pintos are the toughest 4 cyl theory,  I had always wanted to run one in a demo derby, just to beat everybody with a pinto, but after owning a few,  I just cant bring my self to smash a solid rust free one.  But unfortunately the rusty squishy ones just dont make good derby cars. ( unless you know the secret).   :-X

By the way,  The only truly disturbing thing I have read was the "dorkcar" comment.  Out of all the people I have hung out with who love pintos', none of them could even remotely be considered a dork.   (unless you consider the owner of one previously mentioned dirt track).

Dorks need cars too...Don't mind you smashing up the ones that are already too far gone to be restored, but if it looks salvageable try to trade it for a parts car with an engine. otherwise find a nice 83 Delta 88 to demoderby.
