72 Pinto racecar, 2.3 ARCA engine, Quaife trans

Description: This is a 72 Pinto racecar My buddy owns. I built it and we shared the ride. But now we are getting too old to race so... . This is an all out road circuit race car, 1 seat, full SCCA roll cage, not street legal. Yes, you have to climb in through the window, part of our problem now. The engine is a 2.3L that has been detuned (for longer life) ARCA engine producing 200 RWHP at 8,000 rpm. That is a real Esslinger/Ford ARCA head with a Holley 500 cfm from Competition Carburation, roller rockers, 5.82" long rods, Comp Cam, 12.5/1 compression, dry sump oil system. The transmission is a Quaife 4 speed "Rocket Box" (drive dog, no synchro) with a Ram 10 lb steel flywheel and 7.25" clutch disc (needs replacing). The 8" rear end is locked with 3 heads set up in 3.52, 3.78 and 4.10. Suspension is coil-overs on the front and mini stock leaf on the rear. Complete with 28' enclosed trailer with cabinets, work bench, winch. SCCA, HSR and VDCA log books. $17,000. Located in Buford, Georgia.
