| April 22, 2018, 04:01:45 AM Well, if you were local I have a MII/Pinto 8 inch rear. They are fairly common, bolt on like they are made for the car (they were) and keep the 4 lug pattern. If you can't find one, using one from an early (65-66, or 67-70)Mustang will work. These have the 5 lug 5X4.5 pattern. Make sure it is the 8 inch, not the 6cylinder. Could also use a 9 inch, but probably not worth the extra money unless you are going crazy on the engine. The main thing is the leaf spring pads are not quite right on those, but you can fairly easily modify the ones on the rear or have them moved. The reason I put the two different year groups is that there is a bit of a difference in the overall width. Either are doable, depending on the wheel offset you end up using. There are some posts here about this swap, have you tried to do a search? Try 8inch rear (no space between the 8 and the inch). hth, Russ Last modified by: russosborne April 22, 2018, 04:10:33 AM |
