And a follow up on the Hemmings website story, I have gotten a slew of e-mails regarding Ted Nugent.

Everyone from animal rights, anti-war, anti-gun, etc. have been sending me hate mail, I guess no good deed goes unpunished.

It also means we are getting heard because only the complainers write.

Yet, it still amazes me the shortsightedne ss of these self richeous people who feel the need to attack a charity event in order to feel better about themselves.

It does comfort me to know for everyone of these knuckleheads, a thousand or more of the readers who didn't complain, liked what they saw and read.

I sure hope you're not calling me a knucklehead, Norm. I never sent you or anyone hate mail. Am I self-riteous because I speak up for animals? Does it "make me feel good about" myself because I speak up for those who can't? If I'm going to be bashed because I don't like Ted Nugent or his politics... and there's going to be name-calling then I don't think I want to be a part of this stampede. I support our troops... I'm not "anti-war" or "anti-gun" but I am anti-cruelty. Am I a "complainer"? Perhaps I am.  I have a right to not like the same people or politics as you or anyone, for that matter. I am not going to be part of something that's supposed to be for a good cause that's turning ugly due to politics. Norm, you're free to PM me as long as the name-calling halts... otherwise I'm assuming I'm not even welcome on this stampede.

Becky,
Don't take this the wrong way, this was not posted at you, I recieved some pretty dumb e-mails after the Hemmings story broke, you did not send me one of them.  I actually liked them because it showed we are getting the word out, I am sure many more are to follow the more this story gets out. Your stance on animal rights is a good one, you are one of us, so any post you make is fine with me. But if you want to discuss it more, send me an e-mail or give me a call.  Let's keep the good vibes going on the site and support what we are all about to accomplish together. Once again, don't take this as a personal attack, you were'nt even a thought in that previous post. I was venting on some people that personaly attacked me for raffling off a guitar.

And streetRebel, I am staying strong, it just gets me more riled up when I get confronted on the issues.   Unfortunately I am putting together a charity event and have to keep those feelings in check.  Maybe that's why I vented here, Thanks for the support, and Rock on!

I know I will be one of the people purchasing raffle tickets. but do i have to be there to win the Guitar? lol I wont be able to attend the 40th, I just dont have time to find and train someone to work two weeks, and that comes out of my own pocket. The bad thing about being your own boss and having Clients, is that you have to sacrifice most of your time for work, especially when you have no other employees.

Norm, I apologize for thinking you were attacking me because of my post regarding the guitar. I didn't realize your Hemmings critics were emailing you personally. While I won't be promoting TN or his raffled guitar I will not only wish the WWP and Stampede well, but will otherwise promote it if I'm still in the stampede. I'm pro-military, and thus pro-veteran. OO-Rah!

Becky,

Don't sweat it, I would flip if I thought someone called me out too.  Just a missunderstand ing, don't say another word. We are all family here. Those e-mails i got were pretty bad, i put that stuff behind me and i am moving on.  See you on the road.
