2012 Stampede!

Norman Bagi:
Well, it has come and gone.  I had a great time and met some new freinds.  The Stampeders from last year made it feel like home, you guys and gals have a special place with me. Martinsville, Woods Bros., Ernies ( the surprise addition of South Boston Raceway) and The Hogs head on day one, were epic. Day two with the NRA and Udvar-Hazy museums provided a nice time to walk around and stretch the legs with an end at the hotel.  I miss the guys giving me a hard time while I repaired Louise's radiator hose. The jokes were fun, Harley, you the man, even though you kept going on ahead of us, you acted like a scout for the Stampede. And then we went to Summit Point for the car show and races, that was fun.  I got a little to enthusiastic on that course, pent up testosterone I guess. all in all a great time, the last day we ate at the Cracker barrel and said goodbye.  I almost teared up when John and Wayne pulled off toward Baltimore leaving my little group as it was when we left my driveway on Tuesday morning. I was surprised to hear some say this gets better every year, because the first trip was so long in the making and occupied twice as much time with double the Pinto's.  I wasn't done with this one and cannot wait for the next one.

Did you happen to look down at your speedometer? Looks like even more fun than Martinsville was. It was great meeting you and the others, sorry I was unable to make the whole Stampede.

When I looked down it was pinned as far as it would go.  I believe I was around 120 MPH by feel from going down the 1/4 mile.
No worries man, thanks for coming out the Woods Bros. and sharing that sweet green wagon with us.
Stampedes are great from begining to end, but if you can be a part of one in anyway, I am sure you would agree.  it was well worth the trip!

Yes it was definately worth taking time off from work to meet and enjoy the other Pinto enthusiasts.
How long before you know how much was raised for the Wounded Warriors?
