WHO'S COMING
« on: June 09, 2010, 05:44:05 PM »
Alright it is now One year out from the 40th..I need to know who will be coming to Carlisle next year. Also if you are planning on being there start making your hotel\motel reservation's now.If you wait until April or May you may be way out in the country. For those who will be in the Pinto Stampede please get with Rearended. For hotel\motel information go to www.carsatcarlsle.com,they have information on hotels and motels.I have been told that Carlisle will be giving a Pinto away next year at the show.Phil and myself will keep every one posted on the 40th.So keep checking and I hope to see every one there next year.Pintoman[Harley].

Let's hear from more of you!  (West Coast) Don't miss out, go to the site and e-mail me, let me know what you need to make the trip and maybe I can help. :read: Take a vacation, see the country through the windsheild of a Pinto. Ride with other Pintos, you may never get to do this again. I know the trip will be a long one, heck I am sending my cars out west to make the drive in with you. http://www.pintostampede.com

I really want to but as it's looking like I might not be able to! :( I will know for sure in January, but that's another six months off, to late in the game to reserve a hotel. :'(

I'm going to plan on going, but the way finances are going, it's going to be impossible, or extremely tough to make ends meet and make the trip.

Well, according to my leave balances, I'll have plenty of vacation!!!  YAY!!! Now I need to have money... I definitely want Ruby RedHot going. She runs so well! Plus, May '71 is her birth month... and a 40th anniversary is the Ruby Anniversary, right? So it's very fitting. Plus, she's one of our flag's colors, and we'll be supporting the Wounded Warrior Project...it's a natural. ;D

That's good to hear, thank you Phil! That actually helps a lot, it's just a matter of hotel stays for the trip back. The hardest part of this trip is I want my family to go with me to share the experience, and to help understand why I love this car club so much, it's the people and their passion for the Pinto like my own. More the people though! :)

The only problem with camping is that my daughter will be 18 months old then. We'd b e bringing the older daughter as well, she'll be eight next year. I think she'd enjoy it a lot though!

It is certainly my intention to be there, with or without my Pinto, but my wife's continually declining health could possibly alter those plans.  Will probably have to make at least two round-trips (I'm about four hours away) as there is also going to be a conflict with my son's high school graduation.  Rather than making reservations this early in the game, I'll take my chances and drive however far I need to go in order to get a room.  I've attended a number of Carlisle events and have never had to go farther than 10-15 miles to find a motel vacancy.

I plan on being there with the car (I hope) along with the wife and dog. We plan on camping so that should be fun. However, it's a ways off and a LOT could change. Either way I plan on making the trip with or without the car  ;D

I would LOVE to be there with my wagon and am working vigorously to see if it can happen. The current state of it is FAR from the mark of being ready, it's gonna take alot of sweat and $$ to get it done in a year.

It would be wonderful to represent Texas at the show, and meet lots of other fans.

I am hoping to be there, but odds are it will be without the Pinto, since i am still taking it apart. Probably won't have the money to get it back together before then.
Most likely will be me and my wife, most likely just a one day thing.
