Yes, that is correct.

I have been invited to display my blown 1972 Pinto in building T.  I have not been informed as to whom else, Pinto or other Fords, will also be in Building T.  Sure do hope there are more Pintos in there along with mine.

I'd give just about anything to go to this event, but it isn't in the works for me.
 Reading this: http://www.carsatcarlisle.com/ce/events/ford-nationals/
makes it even harder to not be going. Lots to see & do ! Hope tons of pictures are taken & shown here (or mailed to me  ;D )

COOL.

I have no idea what other cars are going to be in building T.  I assume there will be other Fords and various models and makes.  This will be my first time attending with a show car.  I have attended as a visitor and walked the hills of Carlisle many times.  I just hope for good weather because the blower does not operate well in the rain.  Not enough octane in the water.

I have been there at least a dozen times. In fact, I chaired the 40th Cougar Anniversary a few years ago. I'm really looking forward to ONLY attending as a participant this year ;)

I just talked to Rick and asked him if I could be in Building T and still be in the Saturday night parade. He said no. The cars have to stay in the building all weekend.I told him id let him know tomorrow.I am leaning towards not being in the building , and being in the parade.

that is a tough decision
i am sure someone  would let you ride  in the parade with them
and being in building t is an honor  this may be your only time being there and you willl be part  of the stampeed on the way there
if you need a ride anywhere while there i can help  with that as i have the bobcat an a van there. in the end it is your decision  i am just trying to give you a different  look at it.
 see you there soon.

Dave,

I totaly understand, hey but you were given the honor so that puts in you the "T" building even though you had to opt out.  I know what you meen though, in another post I was asked to go to the track on Friday, I am goign to back out on that after this post.  I was in my shed getting my helmet and racing slicks and thought "what am I nuts? I am going to have so much to watch over with the raffle, my kids, the excutive luncheon, etc. I will have so many things going on I can't walk away for a minute. And then what if I break the car, no parade." S I won't make it to the track, as much as I wanted to go. Next year for sure!

My plans are set. I'll be dropping the vintage racer off on Thursday and will be coming back Saturday morning, staying until Sunday afternoon. Brian Walsh's dad (yes, JERRY RACER WALSH) will be bringing their car up on Thursday and Brian will be coming in Saturday morning as well.

Look forward to meeting some of you folks.

Was supposed to take the Pinto to a local car show today but instead we worked on the motor home and trailer getting ready for the trip to Carlisle starting on Wednesday.  I still have a few more small details to do on the car but for the most part it is as ready as can be. I only have an open trailer so I have fashioned a tarp type cover for the motor in an attempt to keep any rain out of the intake and away from most of the shiny parts.

Looking forward to seeing lots more Pintos and making new friends.  See you there.

Dick
