High_Horse,

It looks like you caught Pintony's good side.  :look:

I enjoyed the pics on the other thread...  looking forward to more of your pics.  I hated to miss Sat and Sun, but Polly ran super back to Wichita. The Mrs and I enjoyed the K.C. Symphony on the Prairie Saturday.

High_Horse, PollyAl and Pintony.
Polly leads the convoy easily doing 70. Her mph was later calculated at 22.

I must share some thanks to Pintony and Cookieboy with the wider Pinto family.

Tony, thanks bundles for the tailgate weather stripping. It brings the new paint job that much closer.

Cookieboy, thanks for the "sharpie tip."  As directed, I used the silver metalic sharpie pen to "Paint" the aged chrome edges of the instrument panel plastic parts.  It was the major finishing touch needed on Polly's dash.

Pintaro and TulsaTurbo show up and really and really make a long line of Pintos.
Turbos is the BlueGreen runabout in front and Pintaros is the IvyYellow wagon farther back.

Darn if it wasn't irresistable to get a group shot of the cars before the show.

Nice pics gang, wished I could have made the trip over.  Seems like every year I have Air Guard summer camp when the good car shows/swap meets are.  There is a big one over here on Petit Jean mountain that I have yet to get to since owning my Pinto.  Keeping my fingers crossed for next year.

HA! Yea, your car is beautiful Pintony, have you ever seen one as nice? I mean ever? Ever? Ever!? Ha! (sorry inside joke). Hey, the show was great! I was so glad to meet all of the guys from out there! Pollyal is a great guy with a really well loved 74 wagon (my favorite year). Cookieboys 73 is a real beauty (and the story about how the name cookieboy was derived was great). Original74 and his wife really welcomed all of the pinto guys into his home and fed us some great food! Tulsa Turbo has some great cars and I look forward to seeing what will happen with his 78. Pintaro and his wife were great to hang out with and I cant wait to see his real "pintaro." Highhorse is a nut, just like Pintony and myself, and a hell of a fabricator. Had a great time hanging out with you mike! As for pintony, you know that car of yours isn't original right? Thats what I heard any way (another inside joke). Fcannon and his wife made some beautiful awards for the show, so a big thanks goes out to you and your wife! I hope you guys liked Thomas's 72. Not bad for a 3 week bumper to bumper resto and then drive the car 3300 miles. Probably not the best of ideas. Next, we are going to restore a car in a week. Just kidding, never again. I hope I did not leave any one out. I had a total blast this year and if work permits, I will do it again next year. Well, we made it home great, we cruise 66 most of the way. All three cars ran awesome dispite 100+ degree temps in New Mexico and Arizona. Oh, and while in Arizona I met a guy in a red 78 sedan. I guess he is a guest on here but I gave him a card and he is going to join! Yay! Ill post pix soon. Right now, time for sleep.
I have many Pintos, I like them....

#3. 1980 Sedan I4 Original
#4. 1974 Pangra Wagon I4 Turbo
#5. 1980 Wagon I4 Restored
#6. 1976 Bobcat Squire Hatchback (Restoring)
...Like i said, I like them.
...and I have 4 Fiats.

Alberto,

Thanks for the update on the California cruisers! Glad you guys made it home safe and sound. It was awesome and I am very honored personally, for Tulsa, Miss Belvedere and for PCCA that you guys made the sacrifice to visit Oklahoma. I know how much it costs to travel like that, but not as much as Pintony does!

Speaking of Pintony, his attendance at the Tulsa meet marks his attendance to every PCCA sanctioned meet since our first national meet in Pigeon Forge in 2005. Tony attended Pigeon Forge in May 2005, Knotts Berry in April 2006, Carlisle in June 2006, Knotts Berry in April 2007, Carlisle in June 2007 and Tulsa in June 2007. Besides all that, I think he made a bazillion trips all over the northeast to buy new cars this year. I don't know how he does it...wait, I know...he's running on 10 cylinders. I wish my Dodge Cummins had 10 cylinders (inside joke). Congratulation s Tony, your dedication to this cause is appreciated very much. Now go lay a buuuuunch of carpet and quit buying all the rest of the Pinto's out there!

I should be posting the pics my wife took of the Tulsa event this weekend.

Thanks again to all who made it such a success.

Ya!!!!Dave...You may have noticed that I did not post pictures of the award ceramony. Because I was so caught up in the action I failed to write it down. Mr. X did take good pictures though. So if I can augment your collection...I will.

Hey Dave, It looks to me like that you & your helpers did an excellent
job on "Tulsarama". Sorry I couldn't be there, maybe someday.
What was your neighborhood response to the Pinto invasion? good I hope.

Oh, and while in Arizona I met a guy in a red 78 sedan. I guess he is a guest on here but I gave him a card and he is going to join!

I wonder if that was my old red 78 being driven by my uncle.  By chance was this in Tucson, and was his name Mike?  Just curious.

The Pinto I had I gave to my brother. The car was originally my mom's, (78 red Pinto sedan with a 2.3 and a 4spd.) I am originally from Tucson, AZ but moved to Oxnard CA :D
I'm looking for a Pinto wagon with an automatic.

High_Horse, actually my plaques and awards were for peoples choice (unfortunatly I can't remember what exactly the peoples choice was, favorite pinto perhaps, something like that I thought) and "Most Miles Traveled" cause I came to Tulsa by way of Tony's and then your place at 1693 miles traveled. Thanks for posting the pictures, I don't have one of me receiving the awards.

Dave, do you still have the results of the voting and awards? and can you post them up? I remember most but not all and could use the info for a scrap book I'll never have the time to do  ;D
