Not that I'll even have my pinto street legal much less looking good by then, but I have to ask... Carlisle, Where?  What state?  (Just so us newbies will know).
Title: Re: Meet Schedule Planning Developing,

How do I pre-register. I'll be there for sure,  not sure about a pinto though, the old race car is not much to look at anymore,   I could trailer it down there though.  But I think carlisle would frown on hot laps around the show.  Its ugly and loud.  But if its there it will have a sticker on it.  #327  (odd number for on a ford??).

Pintony, I might be able to donate some stuff for your giveaway. Do you still have my number? Id rather discuss it over the phone to keep the suspense level up.

Go to www.carsatcarl isle.com.Go to the ford show and click, just follow there directions. And bring the race car,you can trailer it in.Niose no problem.

We like noisy Pinto's. I allready said I'll will be there. I have to get 1 of those stickers though for my Cruiser Wagon. You could take your dirt Pinto & drag race it at the local strip that is held in conjunction with Carlisle. LOL

Are you talking about south mountain?  Ill drag race as long as i get to start on the right(remember this is an oval track car that is designed to go left) :showback:  :fastcar: :hypno: :accident:

South Mountain thats it. I've gone there once when I had my boss 302. I think it took about 45 minutes to get there. Small 1/8 mile strip. Not modern at all. You can park for free in the weeds. LOL

With the way my luck went at the track last year, with my inclination to run into things, I had better just stick to the burnout competition.   But one never knows when a wild hair is going to show up. :drunk:

What all do you have to do to it? Mine won't look all that good but it will be there. It's just all about having fun & showing off our Pintos to the world. If you can't make it there probably will be a meet in 2007, but not sure where it would be at yet.

I wont have everything that’s rusted around the windshield refabricated for another two or three weeks, I need to save for the windshield re-installment, new tires (dry rotted), and my steering is all out of whack... you have to turn the wheel 90deg. before the wheels even move... not to mention that the engine hasn't been run for longer than 2 miles in over 15 years...

I plan on dropping a 302 5.0L Fuel Inj. Possibly from a crown vic in it here soon... when I do that ill address the steering.

But I may just come up without her... to see what you all have.  :)

Well, unfortunately the ugly green race car wont be coming after all.  I was playing around withit, trying different things on the suspension, trying to get the best burnout out of it. And i guess the old girl just didn't have too many burnouts left in her.  it still runs but.... it only holds about 8 lbs of oil pressure at idle, and pours smoke out the exhaust.  Soooo, i will still be coming but not the car.  I will be trailering some parts down, if anybody has any particular requests.  ill try to make sure it goes on the trailer.

OK Harley...

I have been looking at a way to get to PA for this meet & I really thought I would not be able to bring my Wagon (the only one show ready) until today.  I believe I can rent a truck & trailer and be off so I can attend...  Now I need to get to planning,

I have not forgot about your banner or the graphics you requested for the other, working on it...

This is going to be a 12+ hour trip with the Kids & wife from Alabama. Question, who is going abound the same time ( a day or two before) & can we start a caravan of pintos and cars deedmed worthy to carry or tow our pintos & members? I would like to see if this can be accomplished & when we can go to have the most members on the caravan before I book any time or ask for the specific dates off.

Takers?

A friend of mine (who convinced me to bring my wagon) had a really great (I think) idea...

At the show we each place a fire extinguisher in the exact same place next to our cars.

So the 'viewer' sees all the Pintos & then sees all the fire extinguishers lined up, Kinda a tong-in-cheek acknowledgemen t of the cars issues so we can field these questions with humor instead of ambiguity.

Thoughts?

Hi Scott. A caravan sounds great. :fastcar: :fastcar: :fastcar:There should be 6 or 7 of us leaving Columbus,Ohio on the Thursday before the show.I'm hoping that some of the Pintos that are west of Columbus can meet up with us.As for you get with dream bean he lives in S.C..He and some others from there should be coming up together. And don't forget to pre-regester and check on rooms now, they fill up fast.

Hey Scott,I like that idea.I will bring a fire extinguisher with me.It's probably a good idea to have one in the car anyway.

I just registered for the event. Now I just gotta reserve a hotel room.  :fastcar: ... & get a fire extiguisher. Like you said it is a good thing to have in the car anyways.

Fair warning... Hotel Rooms are filling up very fast.  :2fast4u: I just went to register & was lucky to find one in Mechanicsburg (about 20 minutes away from Carlisle) as low as $75 for 2 people. Act now as they're filling up. Check Motels.com & you might get a cheaper rate, especially if you have AAA or any other applicable discounts.

Title: Re: Meet Schedule Planning Developing,

I'm not too sure you'll be able to stay i the same one as Harley. When I was trying to make reservations it showed all three were full. That's why I had to go with econo lodge. Your best bet is to go to a site like Orbitz.com or motels.com. That's how I found my room.

Hope this helps.

Hell, at this point I'd just be happy if my damn car ran worth a shizod. Does it seem like I'm pissed at it? If you said yes you guessed right! If anyone might be able to help my car make it to Carlisle by reading the post I have in general help & helping me with the running problem, I would greatly appreciate it, as would my wallet, since I have already paid for the registration & got hotel reservations.

I'm one of the lucky members that only lives about an hour and 15 minutes away from Carlisle and my Dad lives there so I have a place to stay when I go there.  I just got my 79 C.W.out yesterday and shined it all up. Then I find out my band is playing a gig that Saturday night.  I really wanted to go to this meet but would it be worth it to go Friday arriving about 3:00-5:00 PM  and then be at the meet early Saturday no later than noon.  I really wanted to show my beauty off but not paying 45.00 to get in the gate for a few hours.  I may come and just leave it out in the streets. I really want to see other Pintos, get some customizing ideas, Photos, and a club tee shirt. What gate is the closest to the meet tent? Will there be anybody there Friday and how late can I get in?  How early Saturday will it be set up?  I really really want to be there!  Hey Harley and others,  You've done a great job organizing this meet.
Let me know on my questions.

Tony,
I'll try my best to make it.  I do want to go over and prep my car for the 1hr.& 15 min. trip down Rt81 though. I'm sure everthing is fine mechanically. But I want to change the rearend and 4spd. tranny lubes.  Can I use the same lube in both?  I have 4 qts of Pennsoil 80-90 GL5 lube.  Is that OK to use in both and is it enough? The rear and tranny probably has the original lube in them.  I've noticed that the tranny gets harder to shift after it's hot. I'm hoping new lube will clear that up.

Hey Tom.Just what Tony said, you have to come.Lots of free-be's.I think the gates open up about 7 in the morning on each day.I plan on being there between 7 and 8 each day.I will eat breakfast there at the show. The show ends about 3 or 4 each day.Come and have fun and meet all the other Pinto nuts.
